If you bank with Desjardins, the short answer is yes: Desjardins works with Lodavo. Canada’s largest cooperative financial group is named directly on Plaid’s Canadian network, so a chequing, savings, or TFSA balance at your caisse links in a couple of minutes with your usual AccèsD credentials. Save there, collect free tickets, and every week you’re in a draw for up to $10,000, Quebec included.

How to connect your Desjardins account to Lodavo

The whole thing takes about two minutes in the Lodavo app:

  1. Install Lodavo, which is free, and create your account.
  2. Tap to connect a bank and select Desjardins.
  3. Sign in on Plaid’s secure screen with your AccèsD credentials, the same ones you use at desjardins.com. They go to Desjardins, not to Lodavo.
  4. Choose the Desjardins account to track, and you’re set.

Every week from then on, what you’ve kept saved earns you tickets for that week’s draw.

Is it safe? What Lodavo can and can’t see

Yes, and the access is deliberately narrow. Desjardins has its own dedicated institution page on Plaid’s Canadian network (opens in a new tab), so connections are well supported and the view Lodavo receives is read-only.

In practice, that means two things:

  • Your AccèsD login is never shared with Lodavo. It’s entered on Plaid’s secure flow, and what comes back is scoped access, not your username and password.
  • The view is one balance, on one account you chose. That number is what your tickets are based on, so you can follow your savings week to week. Your transactions, your other caisse products, and your statements aren’t in it.

The weekly draw is independently verifiable, too. You can check both on our provably fair page, and you can disconnect Desjardins from inside Lodavo whenever you want.

Which Desjardins account should you track?

Connect the Desjardins account where your savings actually sit. Most members link one of:

Desjardins accountGood to track if
Desjardins chequingYou keep a steady cushion in your everyday account
Desjardins savingsYou set money aside in a dedicated high-interest savings account
Desjardins TFSA (savings)You save inside a deposit-based Tax-Free Savings Account

Several Desjardins accounts can be linked at once, and their balances add up. The exception is an investment or brokerage account, such as Desjardins Online Brokerage (Disnat) or a self-directed TFSA, which Lodavo can’t track yet, so choose an account that holds a cash balance. Whatever you keep saved across those accounts is what earns your tickets, and there’s no minimum.

Troubleshooting a Desjardins connection

If a connection doesn’t go through on the first try:

  • Make sure you’re entering your current AccèsD login on the secure connection screen, exactly as you would on desjardins.com.
  • Complete any verification step Desjardins prompts you with (a one-time code, for example).
  • If a previously linked account stops updating, reconnect it from inside Lodavo to refresh the link.

Desjardins has a dedicated page on Plaid’s network, so most problems clear up with a fresh link.

Why prize-linked savings fits Desjardins members

Canadians aren’t saving much right now. The household saving rate slipped to 3.5% in the first quarter of 2026, the lowest since early 2024, according to Statistics Canada (opens in a new tab). Prize-linked savings exists for that gap: it gives you a fun reason to keep adding to the account, with nothing locked up and nothing to switch.

There’s a second reason it fits Desjardins members in particular. Desjardins has more than 7 million members and clients, and most of them live in Quebec, the one province that gets left out of contests more than any other. Lodavo is the opposite: built in Montreal, running in French and English, with a weekly draw fully open to Quebec residents. Save at your caisse, pick up free tickets, and you could win up to $10,000, with a guaranteed prize of at least $100 going to a user every week.

Terms and conditions apply. No purchase necessary (alternate method of entry available). Skill-testing question required. Open to legal residents of Canada who are the age of majority. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received. Full rules and odds at our contest rules.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to connect my Desjardins account to Lodavo?

Yes. Your AccèsD credentials are typed on Plaid's secure screen and go to Desjardins, never to Lodavo. Your savings never leave your caisse either, because Lodavo is an app that rewards saving, not somewhere you deposit.

Which Desjardins account should I connect?

Any Desjardins chequing or savings account holding money you've set aside, plus a deposit-based TFSA, and you can link several. Desjardins Online Brokerage (Disnat) and other investment accounts are the exception, so choose an account that holds cash.

Can Quebec residents connect Desjardins and enter the draw?

Yes. Lodavo is built in Montreal, runs in French and English, and the weekly draw is fully open to Quebec residents. Since most Desjardins members live in Quebec, that matters: connect your caisse and you're in, no purchase necessary, with a skill-testing question.

Will connecting Desjardins to Lodavo affect my AccèsD online banking?

No. AccèsD, the Desjardins app, and your day-to-day banking carry on unchanged. You can disconnect from inside Lodavo at any time.
